About us

Bolton Clarion Choir was started by Moira Hill in 2007 at the Bolton Socialist Club, and in tradition of Clarion Choirs from 1894, it tries to spread good fellowship and build unity in the Labour Movement. The choir has been involved in local community events and demonstrations, including the mass turn out for a united Bolton when the EDL staged an anti-Muslim demonstration. In October 2015 we sang with other choirs on the anti-austerity demonstration outside the Conservative party conference in Manchester. The choir is a member of the Campaign Choirs network. The choir is open to all and we sing songs that are local, from around the world, but most of all are fun.
